The mission of Jurassic Classroom is to connect people - especially students - with both the process of science and the wonders of the natural world.
In a time when people are often focused on technology and media, Jurassic Classroom aims to bring a piece of amazing natural beauty right to you and your community. Whether a birthday party, school program, library, community center, or anywhere else people are looking to learn and to marvel, Jurassic Classroom will be there. Using a combination of actual dinosaur fossils and museum-quality casts, Jurassic Classroom provides the unique opportunity to explore the exciting, spectacular reality of dinosaurs: the most amazing creatures in the history of life.
Jurassic Classroom founder and facilitator, Patrick Murphy, is extremely passionate about dinosaurs, paleontology, science, and education. "Dinosaur" was the first word he learned how to spell (even before his own name!).This led him to a rewarding career working at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. While there, he has led numerous school groups, and worked with thousands of students from pre-K all the way through college. He has also worked to create new school programs for the park utilizing the Next Generation Science Standards.
