Know Your Rights with Connecticut Legal Services In-Person
Otis Library will present the informational program “Know Your Rights! How to Protect Your Right to Make Decisions” in the library’s Community Room. Attorney Chris Carlson from Connecticut Legal Services will give a short presentation, followed by Q&A. He will discuss Living Wills, Powers of Attorney, and supportive decision-making. This program is geared toward older adults, but all adults would find this information helpful. This is a free program; no registration required.
Connecticut Legal Services is a non-profit law firm that provides access to justice and protects the critical civil legal rights of low-income individuals. Chris Carlson is a staff attorney in the elder unit where he represents low-income seniors throughout Eastern Connecticut, helping them preserve their housing, obtain person-centered care, safeguard their benefits, and gain access to justice.
