Social Justic Book Discussion - Legacy: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine In-Person

Otis Library will host two social justice-themed book discussions facilitated by Chevelle Moss-Savage, founder of “Helping Everyone Accept and Adapt to Life” (H.E.A.L.).

On Wednesday, July 10, at 12 pm, there will be a discussion of Legacy: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine by Uché Blackstock for adults.  On Wednesday, August 7, at 12 pm, Otis Library Teen Librarian Kait Moseley will join Chevelle for a discussion of What’s the T? The Guide to All Things Trans and/or Non-Binary by Juno Dawson. This discussion is for teens (ages 16+) and adults.

Registration is required for each program.  Upon registration, patrons may pick up a copy of the book to keep at the library's Front Desk.  Register on this page for the July discussion, or call Julie at 860-889-2365, ext. 128.  Lunch will be provided at each session.
